BEWARE OF CRAFT PAINT!!
Craft paints are not suitable for use in face painting! Acrylics, tempura paints, and other non-toxic paints you find in craft stores are being used by some "face painters" due to the price compared with professional face paints and supplies.  A common misconception to the average consumer is that non-toxic is ok for skin.  When in fact, non-toxic simply means that if your child swallows it, it is not harmful.  It does not mean that it is cosmetic grade and will not leave horrible rashes, stains, or make your little one very itchy!

Don't let this happen to your child (photo below)!  Omaha Masquerade uses only FDA approved COSMETIC grade Face Paints and supplies, and glitter safe for use around the eyes.  Our paints include an anti-bacterial agent in the paints to fight germs being transferred from child to child.  The paints are water based, not oil-based, so they will not clog pores.  If you choose to hire another painter, please make sure you know what they are putting on your child's skin -- ask questions first!

Photo taken by a professional face painter at a public event of a child they found sporting a "batman" face with crackling craft paint just before they washed it off. This poor child was miserable and you can see where he was itching to get it off his cheek and chin.
